Royal Commission for AlUla | Saudi Arabia | Augmented reality device

  • 3D animation
  • Touchscreen iPad

To mark the launch of a communication campaign for the Saudi-Arabian oasis city of AlUla, MEMORIST commissioned Art Graphique & Patrimoine (AGP) to design and produce an augmented reality experience for a dedicated exhibition at the Petit Palais in Paris.

Using an interactive display and an AGP-designed augmented reality app, exhibition guests could explore a small-scale 3D reconstruction of the Tomb of Lihyan Son of Kuza. Also known as the lonely castle, this magnificent monument is carved out a sandstone outcrop in Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site close by.
