- Restoration of figurative documents
A year after our first visit to South Africa, La Reliure du Limousin was back in Cape Town at the Iziko National Museum. The museum houses important collections of African zoology, palaeontology and archaeology.
A special feature of the restoration operation was that it was carried out by our apprentices under the supervision of Éric Celle, the director of our training centre. They restored a magnificent but severely degraded watercolour, with the extraordinary dimensions of 7220mm by 2980mm.
This is the first major international restoration project for La Reliure du Limousin and marks the start of a new chapter for the company.
