In 2009, Arkhênum helped conserve the famous Timbuktu manuscripts by setting up an on-site digitization workshop.

Our experts studied the manuscripts to determine the degree of conservation required, the document formats, and the various elements to consider during the digitization process.  The digitization was carried out on site in Timbuktu, where local teams trained by Arkhênum digitally preserved the collections using specialised equipment and software.
