Archival digitization is one of Arkhênum’s core areas of expertise. When the Calvados archives wanted to digitize parchments with seals, Arkhênum was there. Digitization was carried out in situ, directly on the customer’s premises. In fact, the Arkhênum team can apply their know how directly on site no matter the circumstances: whether the collections are confidential or priceless, whether the documents are many, few, or fragile. The Arkhênum team quickly set up a digitization workshop and trained a local team in heritage digitization techniques to meet the customer’s expectations in terms of turnaround time and quality.
