Paper conservation and bookbinding training

After South Africa, MEMORIST is bringing its expertise in conservation and bookbinding training to Kenya, Nairobi.

This training is brought to you by MEMORIST and the Council for Literacy Development (CLD), a Kenyan organization dedicated to the preservation, documentation, and promotion of the country’s linguistic and cultural heritage.

The participants will work on documents provided by themselves and selected by the trainer. Each participant will receive for this course a kit of material, consisting of small tools (brushes, scalpel, rulers…), glues samples, Japanese papers samples and an apron.

The training, delivered in English, will take place from the 2nd until the 6th of November 2026 in the National Archives of Kenya premises. It will represent a total of 32,5 hours of training and will be organized as follows:
